Auto Insurance
Before you renew, see whether your auto insurance still makes sense.
Rates change. Vehicles change. Insurance companies change how they price risk. It can be worth looking again.
The lowest legal limit isn't always the smartest coverage.
Auto insurance isn't just about meeting Mississippi's minimum requirements. It's about what happens if you're in an accident, and whether your policy actually protects you when it matters.
Liability
Liability coverage pays for damage and injuries you cause to others. Minimum limits may not be enough to cover a serious accident, and you could be personally responsible for the difference.
Vehicle Protection
Comprehensive and collision coverage protect your own vehicle. The right balance depends on your car's value, your deductible and what you can afford to replace out of pocket.
Uninsured / Underinsured
Not every driver on the road carries adequate insurance. Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage protects you when the other driver doesn't have enough, or any, coverage.
Deductibles & Structure
Your deductible is what you pay before coverage kicks in. Policy structure, how liability, comprehensive, collision and extras fit together, affects both your premium and your protection. We'll explain it in normal language.
Consider another look if...
Your rate increased.
You bought another vehicle.
You added a driver.
You moved.
Your credit or household changed.
You haven't quoted coverage recently.

Auto insurance questions
What auto insurance is required in Mississippi?
Mississippi requires liability insurance with minimum limits of 25/50/25, $25,000 per person for bodily injury, $50,000 per accident for bodily injury, and $25,000 for property damage. Minimum limits may not be enough to fully protect you in a serious accident.
Should I carry more than the minimum liability?
Often, yes. If you're at fault in an accident that causes serious injuries or significant property damage, minimum limits can be exhausted quickly. You could be personally responsible for costs beyond what your policy covers.
Do I need comprehensive and collision coverage?
It depends on your vehicle's value, your loan or lease requirements and what you can afford to replace out of pocket. On an older car, you may decide the cost of coverage isn't worth it. On a newer vehicle, going without can be a significant risk.
Why did my auto insurance rate go up?
Rates can increase for many reasons: carrier rate changes, claims history, adding drivers or vehicles, moving to a new address, changes to your credit-based insurance score or simply the passage of time without shopping the market.
Can Alliance review my current auto policy?
Yes. You don't need to switch carriers to get a second opinion. We'll walk through what you have and explain whether better options exist.
Does bundling home and auto always save money?
Not always. Sometimes combining policies with one carrier creates savings. Sometimes it doesn't. Alliance looks at the whole picture rather than assuming bundling is automatically better.
